Description
Matias Romero Mushrooms
Matias Romero mushroom are a strain of magic mushrooms belonging to the Psilocybe cubensis species. They naturally contain psilocybin and psilocin, a similarity among all “cubes.”
Psilocin is the chemical that causes humans to trip when they consume magic mushrooms, and psilocybin is broken down in the body to produce psilocin.
Matias Romero shrooms come from Mexico, although little is known about the exact origin or where the original sample was collected and isolated.
This strain is not incredibly popular, given how challenging it is to find.
However, it’s believed that Matias Romero shrooms are one of the oldest strains, having been allegedly ‘cultivated’ for generations somewhere in the rainforests of Southern Mexico.
Matias Romero mushroom Effects
Here is quite a lot of mystery surrounding the Matias Romero strain.
Many people believe it’s just a clone of the PF Classic strain, especially since both are attributed to the same mycologist: Stephen Pollock; others insist a unique Matias Romero strain has been all but lost in the greater mushroom community.
Matias Romero shrooms are slightly average in potency compared to other magic mushroom strains. It’s been compared to the PF Classic strain and the Argentina strain regarding potency and trip duration.
If you plan to grow Matias Romero shrooms, maintain adequate humidity levels.
This strain is tolerant of high humidity but has a high rate of aborts if moisture levels drop too low. As such, this strain is recommended for intermediate and expert cultivators only.
